REINFORCEMENT
FABRICS
Acrymax offers 2 types of reinforcement
fabrics. Stitch-bonded and spun-bonded. Each offers high strength and
are used to reinforce elastomeric coating and roofing systems. Poly-1
Stitch-bonded fabric is the most commonly used as it offers excellent
conformability. Poly-5 Spun-bonded fabric is a "stiff" fabric

AF-130
Elastomeric Roof Coating The standard 100% acrylic elastomeric coating offered by Acrymax with proven performance since 1979. AF-130 has excellent overall physical properties. Exhibits outstanding UV resistance and superior long term weatherability and durability. AF-130 coatings have been used successfully in all climates. Elastomeric Base Coating A basecoat formulated for maximum adhesion to urethane foam, wood, metal, and most building materials. AF 130BC, available in standard concrete gray color, provides a contrasting color for application of finish coats insuring complete coverage in multiple coat applications. Back to top |

AF-130FR
Elastomeric Fire-retardant Roof Coating Formulated with alumina trihydrate for fire retardant properties. Alumina trihydrate acts as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant because of its thermodynamic properties. When exposed to heat, it will absorb about 280 cal/gram before liberating water vapor. This endothermic dehydration cools the membrane and dilutes with water those combustible gases that do escape. Component of FM approved system designated ARS-1FR. Back to top |

AF-130QS
Elastomeric Quick-set Roof Coating Formulated to substantially reduce the application problems related to atmospheric moisture such as high humidity or heavy dew. AF-130QS rapidly develops resistance to flow or disruption by water saturation. High Strength Elastomeric Roof Coating The "next generation" 100% elastomeric acrylic formulation. This high strength formulation exhibits improved physical properties including higher elongation and tensile strength as compared to standard formulations. Elastomeric Clear & Metallic Effect Coating A waterborne acrylic resin solution that dries to a clear elastomeric film. It is used to seal fiberglass and plastic skylights. Concrete & Masonry Sealer An acrylic concrete and masonry sealer. Exhibiting good gloss, and good oil, gasoline, and water resistance AF-100 is used to seal concrete surfaces such as warehouse or garage floors. Asphalt & Transite Sealer An acrylic primer/sealer used for asphalt BUR and modified bitumen surfaces. Also useful on transite. Used after proper surface preparation to prime and seal chalky asphaltic surfaces prior to application of AF-130 coatings. Also helps eliminate staining of elastomeric coatings by asphalt fractions. Siloxane Water Repellant A solution of siloxanes in water that is used as a water repellant on various substrates. Poly-1
Stitch-bonded Fabric A stitch bonded high strength polyester fabric used to reinforce Acrymax roof coatings. In addition to being used on smooth surfaces the loose knit structure of Poly-1 provides for excellent conformability and allows for easy use on irregular surfaces, for flashing details, for metal roof seams, and other areas where reinforcement is required. Poly-5
Spun-bonded Fabric A unique bicomponent fabric reinforcement combining polyester filaments with a nylon skin. These bicomponent fibers are then uniformly spunbonded and heat fused at cross-over points to create a high strength reinforcement with good elongation in all directions. Heat fusing eliminates bonding agents that can block the matrix and inhibit saturation of the fabric. Excellent fabric for plywood decks and other smooth surfaces. Available in 37" width.
